NL Soccer Club - Recreational
Soccer Program
We're glad you're here. If you and/or
your child are new to soccer, please
take a moment to read What
is Soccer?
(33 KB).
The Recreational Program stresses
the fundamentals of soccer and concentrates
on the players having fun playing
soccer. In conjunction with having
fun, our recreational coaches try to
instruct our players in the basic
skills and strategy of playing soccer.
Recreational Soccer is generally split
in three or four different age level
groups (Kindergarten, 1st and 2nd
grade, 3rd and 4th Grade and sometimes
5th and 6th grade) and encourage fellowship
and enjoyment of the game of soccer.
In the Recreational League, winning
is not a priority; quite the contrary,
learning about the game of soccer
and having fun with the rest of the
team is the priority. The Recreational
League has two seasons: a fall season
usually starting in September, and
a spring season usually starting in
late April. Recreational Registration
forms are available on our forms page.
Volunteers
Needed
New Lebanon Soccer Club needs your
help. The overall success of last
season’s recreational program was
largely the responsibility of a small
handful of dedicated people. Should
these few people no longer be able
to continue, the program itself would
be in serious jeopardy as very few
others currently have an understanding
of how the program runs.
As the recreational program is growing
in size, more adult involvement is needed. No soccer knowledge is necessary. Working with the younger children is very rewarding, and your child would love the fact that you are there to help! If you want to help make a difference, please contact Scott White at hkyguy41@yahoo.com.
